Animal Technician
The selected candidate will be responsible for production of
ascites and maintenance of the mouse room. You will inject mice
with hybridomas and harvest ascites from mice. Responsible for
daily care and feeding of mice according to guidelines. Completes
batch records for ascites production. Maintains mouse room cleanliness
and housekeeping standards. Responsible for ordering and adequate
inventory of supplies. Assists with cleaning of cages and equipment.
Keeps dept Supervisor updated on all issues. Conforms to company
safety and cGMP guidelines. Performs other job duties as required.
Qualifications include
a High School diploma or equivalent, with 1-3 years relevant
experience. Experience working with small animals and ascites
production preferred. Experienced in working with potentially
hazardous chemicals and biohazardous materials are required.Apply

GBI-213:
Animal Laboratory Assistant
The selected candidate will be responsible for the care and
maintenance of research mice and rats in support of on-going
research projects in Immunology. You will be responsible for
monitoring, cage changing, cleaning, feeding, weighing and assist
in other laboratory duties. You will also perform some troubleshooting
and maintenance of laboratory equipment, stock supplies and
perform other support tasks associated with the animal facility.
Attention to detail is required. Basic computer skills will
also be essential.
Qualifications include
a high school diploma, AA degree or equivalent. Previous experience
working with small rodents in a research setting is required.
You must be able to lift up to 50lbs and have some basic computer
skills. The ideal candidate will be flexible to come in on some
weekends to monitor and care for the research subjects. Additionally,
you should be flexible to start in the early mornings, 5-6am
during the week, to coordinate and prepare for daily experimental
